Jemaa el Fna (Arabic: جامع الفناء in
French: instead of the dead) is a very famous public square legendary
south-west of the medina of Marrakech (old historical city) in Morocco. This
traditional landmark, popular and lively attracts over a million visitors per
year and "the Cultural Space of Jemaa el Fna" is registered in 2001
Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO humanity1.
