Tetouan (The White Dove)
There are a lot of pronunciations of this name as
Tetawin, Tittaween Amazigh -the local language- name: that’s mean two eyes but
the official pronunciation is Tetouan.
It located in
the north, it near to the beach (the Mediterranean) a proximately 6 Km and also
near M’diq, Fnideq, Some beautiful beaches (Capo Nigro, Martil, Marina
Smir…) Ceuta and 60Km from Tangier...click here to see all the map
About the
climate ,Tetouan has a Mediterranean climate. Hot and dry in summer and winter
costs. It is also a particularly windy area.
The old
streets of this city look like at old streets of Andalusia (south of Spain) “this
is due to the Muslims who are forced to leave Spain and they went to the north
of Morocco…”
What you can
see in Tetouan:
-La Medina : (old city of Tetouan) is registered on the world Heritage list of UNESCO.There
are ramparts surrounding the town, they let pass through seven entries that
are: Bab El Oqla, Bab Saaida (east), and Bab Bab Mqabare Ejjyafe (northbound),
Bab Nouader (to West), Bab A, Bab Remouz (south). Inside the city, the streets
are picturesque and teeming with people. The main neighborhoods, dating from
the construction of the city, are: Laayoune Essania, Trankat, Rbat Aala, Bled,
Rbat Asfal and Mellah.
- Places: El
Feddane, Ghersa El Kébira (up varied trade), El USAA (small picturesque square)
And for who
love nature and excursions .Tétouan was famous for its natural sites around the
city and the region. The old timers remember well Nzaha to Kitane, Dardara,
Bousemlal, Martil Groura (current Cabo Negro), Abdesslam Sidi El Bhar ... The
urbanization of the city and nearby locations (Martil Mdiq and generally the
coastal area) led to the disappearance of most of the sites, and nature
enthusiasts are turning to the region of Chefchaouen (Akchour Talasemtane).
However, some sites are temporarily protected from rapid
urbanization, as Smir lagoon, which is a wetland protected under the Ramsar
Convention. This site is home to many species of migratory birds during their
crossing of the Detroit Other natural sites are located south of the city, on
the roads of Oued Lau and Chefchaouen. We practice walking and hunting
excursions (hare, partridge, wild boar).

In recent
decades, tourism has continued to grow (1 million visitors per year) and has
become an important economic factor. Fez offers cultural events such as the Fez
Festival of World Sacred Music in June of each year. Many foreigners have
settled in Fez and opened guesthouses.
Indeed, the
old medina is rich in heritage. Its walls, castles, mosques, streets full of
scents, souks that exist nowhere else. We can go around the city through the
gates of Bab El legendary Guissa north east, Bab Ftouh east on the road to
Taza, which leads also to the thermal baths of Sidi Harazem, Bab Jdid closest
to access the souks door. Bab Bujlud westward. Each door has its own
characteristics including Bab Bujlud the chain characterized by the mosque of
the same name, and it serves two main streets with La Talaa lekbira where one
can enjoy the Madrasa Bouananya and hanging clocks, and the Talaa Sghira where
one can enjoy the booksellers. Both streets lead to the souks D's Attarine
(spice market and henna) as well as to the Moulay Idriss neighborhood can see
the mausoleum of the founder of the city (second king of the Idrisid dynasty,
descendants of Muhammad), but Guernize also tanneries and those farther from
Blida (Chowara).
The mosque
el Quaraoyine is the twin of the one of Kiraouane. This large mosque known
around the world is in the middle of the souks of the medina and all doors
mentioned above lead to it.
The site is
known Chemaïne trade dates and nuts but also crafts (Belt studded with golden
thread called Sicily) and other effects used by brides. Parallel to this site
on the other side is Seffarine place that is known for its factories plates of
copper and bronze handcrafted and can enjoy throughout this site. In the same
square is the largest and prestigious library Karaouiyne AL.
The old
medina is crossed by a legendary river that divides the city into two parts
called Aadwa. Both sides are from the first Idrisid King Idris I, which was
installed on one of the banks, his came came to settle on the opposite after
the assassination of his father's bank. One can have a panoramic view taking
the road from Bab Bab About did Ftouh at the foot of the hill that houses Borj
Dhab or by the other side on the side of Bab el Guissa. The view is also
amazing. From here you can define and identify the different parts of the
medina as one can see its minarets beginning with the Quaraouyinne
mosque.......

Morocco?
I noticed there are not a lot of publications in the

(second language) “I think it’s very normal”. So I decide to write my blog in English
and all content of this blog , I love traveling ,making trips in wonderful
places , I will shared with you the best moments in my trips and I will show

The administrative capital is Rabat. Among large
cities found remarkable Casablanca, Agadir, Fes, Marrakech, Meknes, Tetouan,
Tangier, Oujda, Ouarzazate and Laayoune.
Geography: Beach,
Mountains, Desert

Long Moroccan
coast about 3 500 km are highly regarded. There are a lot of beach resorts on
the Mediterranean and Atlantic coast: Saidia , Nador Capo de l’eau, Mazagan ,
Dakhla ,Mahdia……
Morocco becomes
the increasingly favorite destination for surfers especially the southern
beaches.
Mountains
Mountains cover more than two thirds of Moroccan
territory and reach significant heights. Several peaks cross bar 4000 m.
Toubkal, the highest peak in the country, culminating at 4167 m. The Morocco
has four main mountain ranges, and is the only Maghreb country to have a huge
mountain of Atlas.
First in the north, the mountains of the Rif or Jebel
bordering the Mediterranean. The highest peak reaches 2,456 is
called Jebel Tidirhine. The Rif offers various altitudes as its regions
surfaces. In fact, in the west, we find especially thorny vegetation (firs,
pines and cedars). On the other side, it grows in arid steppe and scrub and
still further east, it contains hemp, which however is not harvested. Further
on the Mediterranean coast and in the interior, it is possible to note three
other huge chains: the Middle Atlas, High Atlas and Anti-Atlas, where we still
find after a diversity of landscapes.
The Middle Atlas, which is the "water tower"
of Morocco's Rif separated by arid eastern plains and fertile west. The two
channels are separated by the famous patch of Taza. The Middle Atlas is
composed of two parts in different landscapes. To the east, there are the
massive cliffs with peaks over 3100 m as Jbel Bou Naceur or Bouiblane. These
summits are experiencing significant snow falls. Westward chain softened to
make way for more affordable reliefs and leaving room for a few small plates.
Middle Atlas chain is bordered on the south by the High Atlas
It is in the High Atlas, majestic chain that encircles
the country from east to west as the Toubkal peak at about 4167 m.
Desert
In the south, Erg Chebbi, near the Algerian border, is the second largest
area of stones and sand in Morocco after Erg Chegaga. Some dunes can reach
200 meters in height
climate
The Moroccan climate is both Mediterranean and
Atlantic, with a hot, dry season coupled with a cold and wet season, the end of
the warm period being marked by the October rains.
The presence of the sea reduces the temperature
differences, moderates the seasons and increases the moisture in the air (400
to 1000 mm of rain on the coast). In the interior, the climate varies with
altitude. Summers are hot and dry, especially when the hot sirocco blows or the
Chergui, summer wind from the Sahara. In this season, average temperatures are
22 ° C to 24 ° C. Winters are cold and wet with frost and snow. The average
temperature then evolves - 2 ° C to 14 ° C and can drop to - 26 ° C. In mountainous
areas, rainfall is very high (more than 2000 mm of rainfall Rif or 1800 mm in
the Middle Atlas). The pre-Saharan and Saharan Morocco has a dry desert
climate.
The climate in Morocco can be divided into seven
sub-areas, as determined by the different influences experienced by the
country: oceanic influences, Mediterranean, mountain, continental and Saharan.
Tourism
Morocco has reached the symbolic threshold of 10
million tourists in 2013, something not seen in Africa.
Most tourists are of European origin (French, British,
German, Spanish ...) but also Americans, Arabs and Asians.
In 2011, foreign tourists were mainly nationality1:
French with 1,775,961 tourists, with 693,255 Spanish tourists from the United
Kingdom with 352,141 tourists, with 258,620 Belgian tourists, with 211,405
Italian tourists, with 219,576 German tourists. Moroccan tourists residing
abroad recorded 4,408,250 arrivals. We notice a predominance of European
countries (84% of foreign tourists), due to the geographical proximity; Indeed
the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco facilitates home where the considerable body
of French and Spanish tourists. Moreover, these two languages are most
commonly spoken in the Moroccan territory, which is a major argument for the
arrival of tourists. Note also in the category "other nationalities",
the strong presence of Canadian and especially American tourists.
In 2011, Morocco remains the favorite destination of
French. The city attracts them most is Marrakech2.
Most visited Places
Marrakech
Marrakech is a city of about 2 million, instead of
tourism excellence Marrakech has retained its authenticity. The city is
composed of two parts: the new city and the old city. This is much appreciated
by Stars probably for its narrow streets, beautiful riads and the population
that is warm and welcoming. The new city is the complete opposite of the
ancient city: new buildings, department stores, palm groves, golf courses,
parks, hotels, clubs, swimming pools ...
Marrakech is often called the second Ibiza probably
because of the many discotheques in the city as well as because of the great DJ
coming in nightclubs (David Guetta, Martin Solveig ...). Especially not to miss
in Marrakech: Djemaa el Fna, the Koutoubia, the Ourika Valley, but also Hotel
La Mamounia.
Agadir
Agadir is the second tourist town in the kingdom in
2011 after Marrakech. It is the most popular seaside resort of Morocco: its
sandy coastline stretches over 10 km. Agadir is a vibrant city in the summer;
other times it's a quiet town and enjoys sunshine 300 days a year. She is also
known for its souk (Souk el hed) and its resorts just minutes from the city
center such Taghazout Aghroud Imiwadar, the city of Taroudant and its regions
...
Casablanca
Economic capital, Casablanca is the third tourist city
in Morocco. The resort is famous for business. Although Casa does not have the
same vocation as its counterparts (Marrakech, Agadir), the city hopes to extend
stay of visitors who do not exceed two days on average. It is for this purpose
that the Regional Tourism Council launched specific plans to put in place
adequate infrastructure.
Tanger
Tangier, an international city in its history, is a
city full of surprises, located on the Strait of Gibraltar, between the
Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, it has a rich history and unique
geography. They speak much Spanish, French or an Arab, you'll feel at ease
quickly. The city will welcome you in the rules, with its beautiful medina, beautiful
beaches, and so much to see.
Meknes
Rich in its prestigious past, Meknes reserve those
unexpected surprises that come out a little paths. Or who will listen stones
... In town or nearby Meknes contains splendid historical monuments.
Unavoidable, the Roman ruins of Volubilis and moussem Tissa Horse
Taroudant
Considered the grandmother of Marrakech, Taroudant is
one of the oldest cities of Morocco. Taroudante is famous for its varied crafts
(leather work, tanning, pottery, etc.) and beautiful scenery.
Agadir (deposit)
